On 21 October 2014, PIR received one Search and Seizure Warrant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center, issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland for the seizure of the following 3 .ORG domain names:

secondarycreditnumber.org
scnnumber.org
newcredithistory.org

The seizure of the domain names relates to alleged willful copyright infringement.

Pursuant to the instructions of the DHS, PIR transferred the registrations to specified IP addresses.

The .ORG domains now resolve to websites established by the DHS with a message that they have been the subject of seizure. The legal authority for the seizure is sections of the U.S. Statutes, Criminal Code, that provide for seizure and forfeiture of property used in violation of the criminal provisions of copyright law.
